The Potterat wines
Lavaux’s earth is exceptionally suited for the production of Chasselas: in Villette, the vine grows in a light and gravelly soil, while a few kilometers away the calcareous clay terrain of Epesses gives the wine a more mineral flavour.
The Côtes de Courseboux offer a chasselas Vieilles Vignes of exceptional quality, with a great potential as a vin de garde. Among other things, a short prune in the vineyards, low yields and a long maturing process in our cellar guarantee such a high standard. In 2016, our very first vintage was rewarded with a gold medal at the Mondial du Chasselas.
The domaine is equally fond of red wines. The soil in Villette gives birth to a Pinot Noir with a fruity nose. Also, following a deep passion for our wine-maker’s heritage, we proudly cultivate the Plant Robert, a notable endemic variety with a unique historical value. It gives a dark-coloured red wine with spicy notes and plenty of character.
